Maintenance of your bags
Extend the life of your suitcase
SANTINO suitcases are made with innovative scratch-resistant materials, meaning they don't require excessive care on a daily basis. However, to extend the life of your suitcases and keep them looking beautiful, we've put together some practical tips for you!
Maintenance
Use film protection or dust cover:
SANTINO suitcases already have scratch-resistant materials, but nothing beats the additional protection offered by protective covers or films. Choose a cover compatible with your model to minimize scratches and scuffs.
Check your suitcase wheels regularly:
Clean any small stones or debris from the wheels and check that the axles are secure and free of wear. If you find any problems, have them repaired or replaced immediately.
Take care when using the handle and straps:
Avoid extending the handle beyond its limit, as this may damage it. Inspect the handles regularly; if they are loose, reinforce them as soon as possible.
Cleaning Care
Hard cases (ABS, PC):
Clean with a soft cloth or sponge dampened in warm water and mild detergent. This will be enough to keep it clean.
Fabric bags (canvas, nylon):
Use a soft brush and mild detergent to remove dirt. For more stubborn stains, apply cleaning products specifically for fabrics, testing them on an inconspicuous area first. After cleaning, let dry in a well-ventilated, shaded place.
Cleaning the inner lining:
Use a damp cloth with a small amount of detergent to clean. If your suitcase has odors, add sachets of activated charcoal, baking soda or desiccant to neutralize unpleasant odors.
With these simple care tips, your SANTINO suitcases will always be ready to accompany you on new adventures!
